World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH)

WPATH is the global organisation for health practitioners working with the trans and gender-diverse community. It develops the WPATH Standards of Care, a guide used globally for quality transgender healthcare.

Canadian Professional Association for Transgender Health (CPATH)

An interdisciplinary professional organisation supporting trans and gender-diverse people through:

  • Educating professionals and enabling knowledge exchange for best practices
  • Facilitating networks and supportive environments for professionals
  • Encouraging research on sex and gender diversity
  • Advocating for institutional, policy and legislative change
  • Addressing Canada's population and geographic diversity

Gender Identity Research & Education Society (GIRES — UK)

GIRES is a UK-wide organisation whose purpose is to improve the lives of trans and gender non-conforming people of all ages, including those who are non-binary and non-gender. The organisation uses lived experience and scientific research to educate sectors that can enhance wellbeing, contributes to equality and human rights policy in healthcare, and delivers training and information to public and private organisations.
