Sara Stephensen

Dr. Stephensen enjoys all aspects of general practice and has a particular passion for sports medicine. She has undertaken specialised placements in this field and is especially interested in supporting women and LGBTQIA+ individuals in sport and exercise, promoting mental health in athletes, and encouraging young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to engage in sport. She has previously engaged in LGBTQIA+ care in Canada, prior to moving to Australia, and is eager to provide similar services within South Australia She has a holistic approach and hopes to help patients both with addressing their medical needs but also by promoting wellness through mental health care and nutrition/exercise support.
